How to Make Google Index Your Site Faster – Three Things That Worked for Me

You have to admit you also want your newly published website to run ongoogle indexing website Google pages as quickly as possible. Of course we all want traffic and we all want to be recognized by Google once a searcher types in our keywords or our site name. But I came across 20 or something sites saying that it could take about 2 to 6 months to a full year before you can actually see your domain in Google results. In my case the magic happened sooner than I expected. And with these three things I did, Google has indexed my website after only 12 days.

What are the techniques? Tell me

1. Social Sites

I have a lot of accounts in about 20 social sites both popular and not. What I did is to post my links and some descriptions of my articles in these socials site like Digg, Facebook, Twitter, Linksagogo, Linksmarker and others more. (if you want a list of these social sites you can send me a comment :)

2. Site Map

I created a site map. I don’t’ know if this works out for all websites but I simply followed Google’s suggestion to create a site map for my site. You can submit it in the Google Webmaster account if you have one.

3. Comments

Leave comments in other blogs. It does not really matter whether you are commenting on a post from a popular blogger or a newbie like you. What’s more important is that you leave a relevant comment and you are polite in telling the owner to check out your site. I recommend Do – Follow blogs for this and those with CommentLuv installed in their sites. This way, you become a real person and obviously will not be identified as spammer.

How Am I so sure that Google has already indexed me?

I created  a Google Webmaster account and added my domain name in my account. During the first few days way before I did the three steps above, there was a message saying that “Google has not indexed this site” or something like that. Also, I’ve checked over Google search engine and typed in www.riantalks.com, riantalks.com, riantalks and http://riantalks.com and nothing came out. It was a frustrating scene actually. But if you will try typing my domain name in Google today, you will receive results linking my main website home page or the social site pages where I have submitted my articles and links. How cool is that?

Try the three methods above. If you want to execute tip number 3 you can leave a comment here and I will gladly leave a comment on your site too *wink *wink.

  3. I actually visited your site this morning, the template is cool and the colors too, I have bookmarked your site so I can visit it anytime. :) Buying your own domain name is a great move so you can customize any parts of your site. As for the traffic, you have to be patient. Your site is still brand new in my opinion, even mine I still consider it as a baby hehe.
