Pantoloc (Pantoprazole) Drug Treatment for Ulcer
Pantoloc is a brand name of a medicine used to treat excessive gastric acid. It has a generic name of pantoprazole. Usually, doctors recommend the drug to alleviate the pain of excess acid in the stomach which may be a result of different health problems.
One of the most common diseases treated by pantoloc is GERD or gastroesophageal reflux disease. How does pantoloc work?
Pantoprazole belongs to the group called proton pump inhibitors. these drugs limit the production of acid in the stomach therefore preventing excess amounts even when not necessary. It can be used to treat GERD, ulcers and heart burns.
Pantoloc is available at 20mg and 40mg variants and is usually prescribed to be taken once a day or based on the physicians’ instructions.
Any side effects? There are people allergic to pantoprazole. You should not take the medicine if you are one of them. Pantoloc tablets are a little expensive at about P120.00 or about $3.00.
