Filipino Recipe – Chicken Pork Adobo a Filipino Dish

You must be craving for an authentic Filipino dish. Well I am going to give you the most loved Filipino recipe of all time, the Adobo. You can have two varieties of adobo, chicken adobo and pork adobo. In some cases, you can even have chicken-pork adobo. So why is this a very popular Filipino recipe?

First of all it is a very easy Filipino dish to make. Second, the overall taste just appeals so much to the Filipino palate. I have watched an episode of Martha Stewart last year and I was surprised he invited a Filipino chef in New York just to sample them how to cook Adobo.

Here are the ingredients of this uber easy dish:

1 kg Pork or Chicken cuts.

1 cup Soy Sauce

1 cup Vinegar

1 clove garlic smashed

1 tsp pepper, ground

3 pcs bay leaves

Put the meat on a pot. Combine soy sauce, vinegar, pepper and smashed garlic. Cover the pot and let it simmer in low heat until the meat is cooked. Done. Enjoy the sour taste and the spicy aroma of adobo. Truly a Filipino recipe. (You can also let the cooking to continue longer until the liquid sauce is gone.
