Globe is the frontrunner when it comes to offering Ipad and Ipad 2 subscription plans. Actually, when it comes to Apple products, they are the so called “leader” in Philippine market distribution. However, the lack of marketing approach and the exact price for their plans are a pain for us consumers. We cannot even find an exact price for their Globe Ipad 2 offers.
Previously Globe offered a plan 999 for the first Ipad. However, we received some bad feedback about the excessive charging of their internet connection service. So what are our other options?
You can simply purchase an Ipad 2 unit from the Mac Store. Then you may buy a micro sim card for tablet PCs like the Ipad.
How much is the current price of the Ipad 2?
P35,000 is the current price of Ipad 2 from Powermac branches. This is for a 64Gb Ipad unit in the Philippines. Of course, varying prices depends on the capacity.
Does Smart also offer an Ipad 2 plan? I don’t think Smart is an authorized retailer of Ipad but they have a Samsung galaxy Tab P1000 plan. They offer Unlimited data plan, which means Unlimited internet at plan P2000.
Other Tablet PCs and computers
It is quite odd that people keep on looking for the cheapest Ipad 2 in the Philippines while there are other brands to choose from. For me, Ipad is just a fad and name. There are still other tablets that are much better than Apple’s units.
What is an Android tablet PC? It is a tablet computer that runs on Android operating system. For example, your PC is running on Windows XP or Windows 7 operating system. Meanwhile, Ipad runs on Apple iOS.
Samsung Galaxy tablet is one of the most popular Android based tablet PCs. In fact, it is the closest competition of Ipad here in the Philippines. You may check it out at a Samsung shop inside popular malls.
Of course, there are also Windows based tablet PCs. You may try Motorola tablets if you think you cannot leave your Windows applications.
Samsung Galaxy Tablet VS Ipad 2
What is much better between the two? Well you need to know your needs and budget. There is no sure winner for this match up because they have different OS, varied size and weight and most of all, they have thousands of apps each to choose from. My suggestion is you take a look at other features of different tablet computers and judge on your preference based on the features that you need.
